The company’s sustainability policy is the starting point for my sustainability work. The policy is a dynamic document that is updated and changed over time. Colleen DDAB sees sustainability as an obvious and necessary prerequisite for both my own and my customers’ businesses.
Environmental liability
As a service company, I don't belong to the type of company that makes a particularly large environmental footprint, but everything counts and therefore I see it as an important task to do what Ican – here and now. Here are some of the things I do to minimize the company’s negative environmental impact:
- My services are delivered digitally, i.e. they do not generate any physical deliveries. The digital way of working is environmentally friendly and means a minimum of paper consumption and a significant reduction in travel when handing in materials, for example.
- The software I use is cloud/web-based and designed for digital processes.
- I mainly educate myself through cloud-based courses, which minimizes travel.
- My business trips take place whenever possible by train/bus instead of car/plane.
- I sort, compost and recycle everything possible.
- In my purchasing, I prioritize environmentally friendly and fair-trade products.
Social Responsibility
I care about my customers and suppliers. Here are some of the things I do to take my social responsibility:
- My values are based on a democratic and equal approach.
- I often act as a mentor, sounding board for younger colleagues or start-ups with a similar position.
- Wellness is an important tool for a healthy work environment, which is practiced as often as the work allows.
- My business tripstake place whenever possible by train/bus instead of car/plane.
- I prioritize continuous skills development and training.
- I do volunteer work for organizations such as STF that work to ensure that nature and culture are for everyone, and protect the right of public access. In this way, I contribute to the renovation of hiking trails and sustainable tourism.
